9 Eco Friendly, Zero Waste Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Here is a little reminder that Fathers Day is coming up. I’m giving you more than a week’s notice, so it’s enough time to not end up panic buying at the shops. And if you want to buy a little more thoughtfully this year then below there are 9 eco friendly, zero waste Fathers Day gift ideas.

Check out these eco friendly, zero waste gift ideas for Fathers Day this year.

Gardeners might like some of these Bee Wild Native Wildflower Seedbombs  –  which help to create a diverse environment and range of food to support bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. If they are keen growers you could make them their own set of up cycled wine cork plant markers. Or you could even plant a tree together.

For Dads that take their lunch to work you could get them some reusable sandwich wraps, or a stylish metal lunchbox.

Gift vouchers for an experience always go down well. Or plan a day out together. It can be as simple as a picnic in a park or fish and chips on the beach. A day out on the bikes stopping for a pub lunch or a trip to his favourite coffee shop.

A Safety Razor kit is a great gift idea and with so many different choices, from Bamboo to metal, you can decide what he would like.

For something completely unique, twin his toilet with toilet twinning. By donating £60 to twin your toilet, you help fund a project in a poor community that will enable families to build a basic toilet, have access to clean water and learn about hygiene – a vital combination that saves lives. With a certificate, complete with a colour photo of its twin and GPS coordinates so you can look up your twin’s location on Google Maps. It’s definitely a gift they won’t forget.

For coffee lovers you could get them their own reusable coffee cup and even stick a gift card in it for his favourite coffee place. Or have a look at buying some eco friendly coffee to have at home.

Instead of a shower gel set, opt for some zero waste mens toiletries like these soap bars or a bamboo toothbrush.

For foodies you could find some locally made honey, get some craft beer or decant his favourite snacks from bulk into a glass jar and tie it with a piece of string and brown paper label.

But for the simplest eco friendly idea, you could get the kids to make a handmade card and take him some breakfast in bed!

  1. We, the Humankind says:

Such lovely, low-waste ideas (and seriously, thanks for the reminder- I’d forgotten all about Father’s Day because I’m a terrible daughter ). I’ll gift my dad one of them for sure. Perhaps the seedbomb- he bought me a wildflower bomb one birthday, so he’d appreciate that. Thank you!
