One thing I love about Spring and Summer is that I can wear more dresses. I’ve long been a fan of dress shopping at House of Fraser as they have so many styles and brands for different occasions, you can always find something suitable. I was excited when I was recently asked to chose a dress from House of Fraser and their extensive range to review. After much deliberation I opted for the beautiful, blue Yumi pleated strappy dress. I’ve always loved the shade of blue that the dress is in as it suits my skin tone and looks great with a tan. The softly pleated skirt of the dress is really flattering and the fit was perfect with the strappy fitted panel top.
I had been waiting for the weather to warm up a bit so that I could wear the dress. At the weekend the sun was shining and I had a rare date night with James so I knew exactly what I was going to wear.
I teamed the dress with flat sparkly ballet shoes, a denim jacket and a statement blue necklace. What I love about this dress is the ability to dress it up or down. As we were going for a meal I didn’t want it to be too dressy so went for the flat ballet shoes but the dress would look fantastic with a pair of heels. I have a nude pair that would go great if I wanted a more dressy look. The dress would look equally as good worn with a nice pair of flip flops on a summers day.
The most important thing about wearing a nice dress is how it makes you feel and I felt great wearing this dress. It was so nice to get dressed up after a stressful week and have some time off.
