All my children have fair hair and skin, so I’m always paranoid with them in the sun. I would hate for them to ever burn and damage their skin. I put a hat on and use UV suits and tops when they are on the beach or playing in the paddling pool for long stretches of time. Mustela sent us some of their Very High Protection Sun Lotion and Spray to try out over the summer holidays and I’ve been really impressed with it. At the bottom of this post is a chance to win a Mustela Very High Protection Sun… View Post

Back when I did a bit of modeling I always dreamed of having a photo shoot at a private Exotic Villa, the warm sun and beautiful views. Unfortunately this didn’t happen as there are ways they can make it look warmer than it is in photos. Many a time I would be freezing, standing in an outfit trying to smile with chattering teeth. I think the Snow Dome was the worst place, or actually maybe it was an early morning shoot at a race track, with a helicopter whipping the wind around even more. We’ve been lucky enough to be sent the Ant World one of the My Living World to review. The boys are loving and I’m loving the fact that they can get their bug fix in a contained way. A bit more about the Ant World; “Discover the fascinating life of ants in an ideal environment.  Watch the ants build tunnels, keep their home tidy and feed each other.  Study chemo-communication and ant Morse code.  The best entertainment for a young naturalist!  Ant World provides hours of fun as well as being educational. Children are encouraged to collect their own ants… View Post

Fathers Day is just around the corner and although I’m sure most Dads would agree it’s not all about gifts, it is nice to be able to give them something isn’t it? I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to buy for the males in my life sometimes. Maybe I’m just unlucky but my Dad and James always say they don’t need anything or what they do want is really expensive, like a new BMW. I’m not joking! I’ve made my Dad hampers before of all the things that he likes and they have gone down really… View Post

Now that the sun has finally decided to make a more regular appearance, Ava has been able to wear the adorable watermelon Rockin’ Baby sunhat that I have had stashed away for a while. Ava still hasn’t got much hair so when the sun came out last week I was very aware that she would need a hat on to protect her head. She however wasn’t so sure and we spent most of the day chasing after her to put the sunhat back on. She did eventually get used to wearing the sunhat and left it in place long enough… View Post
