The second gift we have reviewed is the new Kurio smart watch. The boys (6 and 9) absolutely love them, wouldn’t take them off for bed last night and this morning they wanted to play on them straight away. They can be personalised with your child’s name, their favourite colours and they can choose how the screen looks.
The watch is pre loaded with 20 apps. They were able to play against each other using the bluetooth connection and the motion games were a big hit.
The smart watch has a high quality camera that can be used to take pictures, add filters and record videos. The boys enjoyed taking selfies and applying the silly filters.
Finlay found out pretty quickly that it can also play music. Using the bluetooth they can message each other with text, a picture they have drawn on the phone, emojiis (the poo one was apparently hilarious) and send voice recordings. Kyle’s first one to Finlay was “do you want to play spies?” they then went off playing a game whilst sending each other voice messages. You can also communicate with the watches via android devices.
You can make and receive calls on the watch too by connecting you android or ios smartphone to the watch, share or save contact details and then you can make or receive calls from the watch, Kyle was very impressed!

Yes I love them, so long as I am in control of the camera !! My teen daughter thinks its fun to jump in front of me at every opportunity to take a selfie with me … I end up looking like I have just been run over by a bus !!

I love seeing other peoples selfies, but since putting a little weight on since being on new medication, I hate my own selfies.
I’m not a huge fan of having my picture taken but when I do have to I have to say I like the fact that a selfie can catch me in a light I am most comfortable with. There are some pretty vain selfies out there, the trout pout look and many others that make me cringe for the person that took them however they do serve a purpose.
I like them of other people, but not myself!
