Bepanthen stretch mark cream review
September 8, 2014
Unfortunately I have a few stretch marks (and no I don’t like them) as much as I like the, your body has carried a baby, they are marks to be proud of. I wish my belly was still smooth, stretch mark free and flat! (We can all dream!) They appeared in my first pregnancy, initially from where I had, had my belly button pierced. Seemed like a good idea when I was 16 and now I can’t even get the thing back in! I had two red lines like a v that faded to silvery. Second pregnancy I had v’s off the v and a few going across horizontally. The horizontal ones were never red and my skin was so stretched I didn’t actually notice them until after. This is one of the reasons I am a serial belly checker in this pregnancy.
During this pregnancy the stretch marks have become more obvious, however I don’t have any new ones yet (crosses fingers). I’m currently 34 weeks.
Initially I thought the product was a bit pricey. It retails for £24.99 in Boots
. However I was quickly a convert. (They currently have a third off, quick get it now!) This stuff smells amazing. It’s a cream rather than an oil so it’s easier to put on in a rush of getting dressed which I’m always in. I can put it on in the morning and my skin will still feel smooth in the evening. You need a couple of pumps to do your belly and hips, it goes quite far. Before I started using this I was getting a bit itchy from all the stretching my skin was doing. This was making me more paranoid and I was doing regular belly mark checks. This cream has stopped all the itching, it cools and calms my skin.
I’ve actually just run out of the cream. It lasted 2-3 months using it daily and I loved it so much I will be getting some more! I will update this post with my final opinions after the last few weeks of pregnancy/ mammoth skin stretching weeks!

How does Bepanthen Stretch Mark Cream work?
Bepanthen Stretch Mark Cream has been designed based on the latest scientific knowledge on the development of stretch marks. Its ingredients are known to act in many ways to support the skin to keep it soft, supple, and elastic:
- Centella Asiatica is a tropical plant which is known to stimulate collagen and fibre production resulting in strengthening of the skin. This addresses the main cause of stretch marks: a weakness in the skin which cannot produce enough collagen and fibres such as elastin to maintain its firm but supple structure.
- Provitamin B5 and glycerine are proven to nourish and moisturise the skin to make it soft, supple and elastic.
- Pure olive oil and skin lipids support the natural skin barrier which is important to protect your skin against external influences.
