I’ve always loved the vintage, retro style, especially in dresses. They just seem to flatter my shape and are so versatile. I’ve been sent the gorgeous Dragonfly print prom dress from Rock My Vintage and have been busy styling it.
The beauty of the Dragonfly print dress is how you can dress it up and down. I’ve chosen three different styles for three different occassions.
For this daytime casual look I have teamed the dress with a simple pair of flip-flops and a large bag. Think picnics at the park in the sunshine, the prom style skirt blowing in the wind.
I just so happened to have the PERFECT pair of sparkly shoes to go with this dress. My Red or Dead Lindy hop glitter shoes. They are the most comfortable pair of heels I own and make this outfit perfect for cocktails, dinner and dancing or a trip to see a show.
For this look I’ve added a pair of converse and a denim jacket. Comfy flats for rushing around and a jacket for the often well timed showers that always seem to happen just at the wrong time.
This dress is so versatile I could also wear it to work with a pair of ballet shoes. It’s a great length for running around with the kids, bending over and picking up the toddler without worrying about it being too short.
There are so many dresses and accessories on Rock My Vintage that I lose an hour every time I sneak a look. I’ve now got a long Wishlist of dresses. You have been warned!
