Have you ever made a wish list before and then not really done anything with it? Full of great ideas, dreams and intentions only for day to day life to take over and another year gone by without ticking anything off? This year I’ve taken a different approach and we have created a family wish jar. Everyone has chosen activities that they would like to do throughout the year and we now have a fantastic list, our family bucket list, which I can’t wait to get started on!
Our 2017 Family Bucket List
Go to Lego Land
Pick our own strawberries at a PYO fruit farm
Go on a bike ride all together – somehwere like Grapham water
Bake brownies
Have a family holiday abroad
Go on a camping/glamping trip
Toast marshmallows
Watch a sunrise and a sunset together
Visit Centre Parcs
Have a night away with no kids
Visit a new place
Go sledging (if we don’t have snow, go sledging at Xscape)
Tale the boys to see a musical
Go to the cinema as a family (Ava to have her first cinema trip)
Pick our own christmas tree at a christmas tree farm
Surf
Go to a festival
Climb a hill
Go for a pancake breakfast
See a pantomime
Have a movie night with popcorn and treats
Eat fish and chips on the beach
Have friends over for dinner
Spend a day at the country park with a picnic
Look at the stars in the night sky and spot the constellations, maybe even a shooting star
Have a water fight in the garden
Get the paddling pool out
Go on a boat
Bowling all together
Take Ava to a sea life centre
Have a spa day
Go to a new swimming pool or waterpark
Visit the Science museum
Have afternoon tea
Visit a new National Trust place
At the end of each month I’m going to come back to our family bucket list and see what we can cross off creating a blog post to keep track of it all. I’m also going to use it to help us plan and budget for activities throughout the year.
Not made a family bucket list for this year? Why not use some of these ideas to make your own. Have fun!
That’s quite a list and some great stuff there, hope you get around to most of it. Lego land is great fun but make sure you get an express ticket to skip the lines, we went ages back and spent most of the day queuing up so definitely going to get an express pass next time to skip them.
What a great list! You’ve inspired me to create one for my family. I’m a single mum with three teenagers so this could be a challenge!!

The Science Museum is fab, make sure you get that one ticked off!
