September Sun!

I have been making the most of the September sun this week with my monkeys. Playing in the garden, dinner in the garden and just generally spending as much time outside as possible. We are all at our happiest outdoors and go out in all weathers. However I’m aware that with the imminent arrival of bump. Long amounts of time outside this winter may be more difficult.

We even spotted some hot air balloons flying over our house!

We decided to go to Harrold Country Park one day after school and take the bikes. It’s such a beautiful place. The monkeys love it there. You can walk around the lakes and through a nature reserve. There is a good play area and even a skate park. My favourite bit is the cafe, which serves some amazing cakes.

even managed to introduce the boys to something I used to love doing, it took me back to my childhood. Blackberry picking.
I had a moment of modern mummy panic, that I should first check and wash the blackberries before letting them eat them! Then I thought, I used to eat blackberrys straight from the bush and I’m still here. It’s much more fun to eat something as you pick it.

Let’s hope the September sun continues so we can enjoy some more beautiful afternoons like this one 🙂

We are so addicted and getting blackberries! They are really in full bloom in the last weeks! I think its ok to let kids eat straight from the bushes once in awhile =) #countrykids
