Delicious Dairy Free Apple Crumble

Who doesn’t love a warm apple crumble with custard? I know I do, it’s a real comfort food for me. We are really lucky at the moment as the house we are living in has a huge apple tree in the garden. The boys have been collecting them and asking me to bake with them, so the other day that is exactly what we did, making a delicious dairy free Apple Crumble.

We picked the apples from the garden and then chose the best ones to make the apple crumble with. The recipe below is for a dairy free apple crumble so that Ava could have some too. You can also make it with normal butter and custard if you prefer.

  2. Peel and core the apples, then quarter them.
  3. Put the apples into a pan with the sugar and water. Cook over a low heat for 5 minutes and place in a small ovenproof dish.

  1. Serve with warm custard. We used Birds Eye powder mixed with Oat Milk. The soya custard is nice if you can have soya.

Apple crumble is my favourite pudding. I would have to ruin the dsiry free theme though by putting a large blob of cream on top……yummm…..

  12. Oh I love apple crumble! Strangely though I’m the only one in the house who eats it, so I haven’t made it for ages!
