Wooly Jumpers, Incubus and Diet Coke #littleloves

My first week of joining in with Little Loves and I got this post finished a lot later than I had planned. Better late to the party than never though right?! This week seems to have been a long one. I’ve got loads of bits and pieces done and fiddled some more with my new blog theme, do you like it? James left early hours today to travel to America and he’s not back till next Saturday so I’m feeling a little down. But I’m looking forward to getting my hair done tomorrow as it’s been a mess all week!

Read

I finally finished The Girl in Cabin 10 after starting to read it in August on holiday. I forgot about it, I think, because I had downloaded it on James Ipad rather than my Kindle. The book has a great ending and the last few chapters had me nervous. I’ve got the new Jodi Picoult book to read next and having heard great things about it I can’t wait to get started.

Watched

At the moment Thursday’s are ‘Vikings’ night. We’ve been watching the Amazon series for a few years now. If you haven’t watched it, add it to your list. We love it!

Made

This week I made a Thai beef salad taken from The Lean in 15 sustain book. It was pretty good and I even made enough to take to work for lunch the next day. If you want you can check out our weekly meal plan. It includes how we plan for family meals when one of us has a dairy allergy. I’m not going to lie, it makes things complicated.

Wore

Mostly I’ve been wearing warm clothes, it’s been way too cold for my liking. I’ve written about embracing Hygge to help with the winter blues and as part of that I’ve treated myself to some new wooly jumpers. For the first time since the 1st December and my emergency operation, I have been able to wear my normal jeans. My tummy has been too sore up till now, so I’m pretty pleased about that. Even if they are a bit tighter now.

Heard

Incubus! I’ve been listening to an old Incubus album on Spotify this week. It’s a band I used to love and even went to see live. Spending some time sorting out my playlists on there I have discovered loads of old favourites.

And Lastly ….

Trying to eat and drink more healthily this week has led to me even surprising myself with having only ONE can of diet coke all week. I usually drink more than a can a day so this is a massive deal!

I LOVE Incubus! I’ve got an old car with just a CD player so I’ve been enjoying listening to Morning View in there recently. I’m gutted I never got to see them live. We had tickets but they postponed the gig by the time they rescheduled I was heavily pregnant so couldn’t go. Boo.
Hope this week has gone smoothly for you lovely xx
