I have many different pairs of jeans, they are definitely a staple item in my wardrobe. So when I was contacted by House of Fraser to take part in a jean challenge I was excited. New jeans and James couldn’t moan at me for getting another pair as they were obviously for an important reason and not just because. The challenge was to try out a new style of denim and dress it up or down for different occasions. Challenge accepted I started to look online at House of Fraser for a pair of jeans different to my norm. I tend to wear dark blue or black jeans in the winter and then I have some lighter blue pairs for the summer. I already have skinny, ultra skinny, straight leg, ripped, high, low and medium rise (told you I like jeans) so I struggled a bit to find a style I wouldn’t normally wear. I looked at a white pair of jeans as it’s a colour I keep meaning to get but decided they would be better for summer. Then I found the perfect pair of grey skinnies from Warehouse. Grey is not a colour I would normally go for in jeans anyway and checking through my wardrobe I definitely didn’t already have a grey pair.
When my jeans arrived I was slightly nervous trying them on as I usually only ever buy jeans from a shop so I can see how they fit first. I had checked the online measurements and luckily they fitted perfectly as it would have been a bit embarrasing if they hadn’t. My pictures would have looked dodgy with a top button undone. I decided I wasn’t going to buy anything new to go with the jeans and instead rummaged through my wardrobe to find an outift that would be suitable for both day and night.
I paired my grey skinny jeans with a black vest top, white embellished t’shirt, a black cardigan and tan boots. I wore this outfit happily in the day and then out for a meal with a friend in the evening, just loosing the cardigan, adding higher heeled boots, a clutch bag and more make up.
Grey isn’t a colour of jean I would have usually gone for, but I really like them. What do you think?
