Liked and Loved in March

I’ve been meaning to do a liked and loved post every month this year, but I haven’t done very well with it! March is always a more favourite month of mine as Spring arrives and flip flop wearing becomes a not so distant dream.

March has flown by. I can’t believe we are going to be in April already next week!

Here are some of the things we have liked and loved in March.

    • My ring and being engaged. I still smile when I catch sight of it out the corner of my eye.

    • Looking at possible wedding venues. I think we might have decided on a destination, but it’s a secret!
    • Walking to toddler group with Ava, throwing sticks in the puddles and picking flowers.

    • Toddler cuteness! Brushing a cuddly dinosaur’s teeth, insisting on wearing wellies and a tutu, sticking a whole sheet of stickers all over herself, refusing to come out of her brothers bed, all tucked up with him and so many more.

      • Being spontaneous and taking the kids to a pop up science fair on my own and having a nice lunch together.

      • Lunch in the sun, outside!

      • Watching the boys enjoying rugby and it not being quite so cold!
      • Country parks, fresh air and a hint of summer to come.

      • Sitting with a coffee, watching Ava and James swimming. I was quite happy that I couldn’t go in!
      • Finding out that we are definitely moving.
      • Ordering new sofas, can’t wait for them.
      • Hearing Ava’s speech improve a little.
      • McDonalds sneaky visit after swimming lessons.
      • Playing in the garden for the first time this year.
      • Bathtime bubbles and time for myself even to have one.

        • New Gins
        • A trip to Stanwick lakes for Mothers Day

      • Trips to the park on their bikes and trike

      • Sleepy cuddles

I’ve been feeling about myself for a while now. I couldn’t exercise ‍♀️for ages after the op for my ectopic in December. Then I’ve not been able to since the Lletz. But that was 4 weeks ago today so I’m now starting gently. I’ve been trying to walk more ‍♀️and the warmer, lighter weather is definitely helping with that. I’m starting the #bbworkout BUT right from the beginning and also going to do the Piyo from beach body as I love Pilates and yoga so it sounds right up my street. I’m eating healthier (again) and I decided to give the 5:2 diet a go this week. I did it a few years ago to shift a few stubborn pounds and so I’m doing it again to shift the few I’ve put on being inactive. I’m on a fasting day today and sat drinking a green tea whilst giving the kids their dinner (that was tough) but the green tea wasn’t as bad as I remember it being. I am hungry now though and looking forward to my soup for dinner!

I don’t think anything can beat you getting engaged, such lovely news and I’m so happy for you. I miss sleepy cuddles, they only happen now if Holly is poorly, which is a bitter sweet moment x #LikedandLoved
